CSUN activities: Outreach Internship Program
My favorite CSUN classes include Business Law, Introduction to Financial Accounting and Principles of Microeconomics.
As a CSUN student, I enjoy going to the Oasis Wellness Center to relax, hanging with friends on campus, going to office hours to visit teachers, attending student events and doing my job at CSUN.
I became an Outreach Intern to service and help any student who is lost, seeking help or just needs some direction. When I was a freshman, a person like this would have been great instead of trying to figure it out on my own. I enjoy meeting new faces, new faculty and new networks I can build on in the future.
As an Outreach Intern, I provide college advice on a lower scale to high school and community college students in a one-on-one Zoom or in-person environment. Through multiple platforms, I reach and engage with the student to assist with any questions they or their parental guides might have. I assist and conduct presentations to high schools and community colleges, providing information on admissions requirements, majors, clubs, sports, etc. Whether it is through a texting platform or meeting with the student over Zoom, I ensure the student is fully aware of the next steps and what to expect for the upcoming term.
