What CSUN activities are you in? If you are not involved yet, what activities do you plan on joining if any?

I am a member of the Association for Supply Chain Management given that it is a club that is dedicated to my major. Membership in the student club and experience as a board member helped me become a part of the board of directors of the San Fernando chapter of the nationwide Association for Supply Chain Management. For my last semester I would like to finish off with something fun, so I am going to join the table tennis club.

What you like about CSUN?

CSUN has fantastic resources and incredible people that have helped me on my education journey. From career assistance to food pantries, CSUN is much more than a university, but an uplifting experience that has helped me grow as a person. I also love that on campus, there is always something going on or something new to try. I’m a big fan of the Artist Alley on campus as I love collecting art and supporting our local artists. The karaoke nights held every week are always a blast and a great way to make new friends.

Why did you want to be intern?

I wanted to become an intern with the OIP program because I had a similar wonderful experience with the Outreach and School Relations department at community college before I transferred. During my time there, I was able to make a difference in the college experience with first time students, continuing students, and members of the community. I liked giving students real direction and acting as a resource for the campus. Joining the OIP program allows me to take this experience a step further and help students earlier in their education. I also love representing the university, and I hope my time in the program can make students interested in the same transformative education that CSUN has given me.

What are your future goals after graduation?

I will be working as an analyst at a third party logistics provider. I also want to get my Certification in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution. I treasure learning so I am thinking about graduate school.
