If I am a CSUN student member of the Oasis Wellness Center, will I receive a refund?

Consistent with California Education Code (Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations), since CSUN is providing students full academic credit for courses taken and delivered by alternative means, no portion of mandatory fees will be reduced. Mandatory fees are listed on the CSUN Student Finance website and include, but are not limited to:

  • Tuition Fees
  • Associated Students Fee
  • Student Union Fee
  • Instructionally-Related Activities Fee
  • Health Facilities Fee
  • Health Services Fee
  • Campus Quality Fee

For clarity, please note mandatory campus fees are not "user" fees per se—they cover a wide range of costs the university continues to incur in order to maintain and operate facilities and provide necessary services. As instruction continues to be provided by alternate means, including through virtual technologies in Fall 2020, current CSU Policy requires students to pay their tuition and mandatory campus fees in order to enroll and remain enrolled and receive academic credit for courses.

Please know that CSUN is committed to providing students their educational experience while also preserving their health and welfare as well as that of their families and the entire CSUN community. Our goal is to get students back on campus as soon as it is safe to do so, pursuant to Federal, State and Local Public Health guidance.

In the meantime, please visit our website to see all the virtual opportunities we are currently offering. We have much more in the works too so stay tuned for that! If you have any questions or suggestions for additional programming please contact us at src@csun.edu, we'd love to hear from you!
