Centering with Scents” Workshop at the Oasis Relieves Student Stress with Aromatherapy and Guided Meditation

What:
The Oasis Wellness Center at the University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students to “Centering with Scents”, an introductory workshop to the practice of aromatherapy and guided meditation. This completely free workshop will give students the basic skills to use these practices as a new method of relaxation and stress relief.

Who:
Angela Faissal, Wellness Center Manager, is responsible for coordinating this event. Facilitated by the Matadors 4 Wellness Peer Health Educators from the Klotz Student Health Center.

When:
There will be four sessions each week until Tuesday, Dec. 6
Tuesdays – 12 to 12:30 p.m. and again from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
Wednesdays – 11 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where:
The Radiance Square and Vitality Room at the Oasis Wellness Center

Why:
Provide students with an alternative way to unwind from the stress of college life. 

Background:
This 30-minute workshop will show how aromatherapy and guided meditation techniques can be used to help manage stress and improve sleeping habits. Each workshop will include a brief hands-on aromatherapy and guided meditation session. Center your mind and body at “Centering with Scents”!
