JOB DESCRIPTION:
NSO Leaders support the efforts of all orientation related programs in 2023. Serving as a campus resource, these trained student volunteers are knowledgeable about the college experience and assist new students in their transition to CSUN. Leaders accomplish this, by aiding in the development of the student’s personal, social, and academic skills for success.
DATES:
All times and dates are subject to change at any time based on programmatic need. Additional trainings and/or events may arise over the summer as well. Adequate time will be provided for all Orientation Leaders to allow them the opportunity to make necessary arrangements in attending.
Required Training Sessions for 2023
We are working towards having the upcoming orientation will be in-person. We will have trainings once a month, on the first Thursdays in February, March, April, and May 2023 during the evenings. We are still in the process of planning what trainings will look like this summer and we can guarantee that there will be trainings that will help prepare you all for the orientation sessions in Summer 2023:

SIGNATURE PROGRAMS:
Orientation Leaders will be expected to partcipated in signature programs such as: Honors Convocation, Commencement, Parent & Family Day, President's Picnic, and New Student Convocation.
New Student Orientation 2023
Please be available for the month of August, even though you are only required to work limited amount of sessions of First Time Freshmen, Transfer, and International Orientations. Final schedules will not be released until June 2023. You will be able to provide us with your preferred schedule and we will do all we can to accommodate you. We ask that you keep all days available in the event where your initial preferences aren’t accommodated.
