Irvin played for the Rams from 1980 to 1989, finishing his career with a single season with the Detroit Lions. After his NFL career, he briefly served as an assistant football coach at California State University, Northridge, before entering the business world. His company, Original Mini's Inc., produces NFL memorabilia.
