CSUN kicks off its 30th season of women's soccer with matches against Saint Mary's and San José State this week. The Matadors begin their 19-game regular season on Thursday at 5 p.m. PT, followed by a match at noon on Sunday. A significant roster returns 16 letterwinners and introduces 13 newcomers, aiming for improved performance following last year's near playoff finish. Last season’s leading scorer Yoshi Rubalcava earned preseason accolades and CSUN was picked to finish ninth in the Big West Coaches’ Poll.
