A Carlsbad resident and native of the San Fernando Valley, Sherlock started his career with the organization when he was 20, working as a playground leader 50 years ago at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clarita Valley while attending school at Cal State Northridge and studying recreation administration.
