A longtime private-sector executive, Althof’s public-sector service dates to January 2009 according to his LinkedIn profile, when he joined the city of Mission Viejo as a Community Services Commission member and chairman. Immediately prior to coming to Orange County, he joined Ventura County in September 2011 as its deputy CIO, Application and Enterprise Systems Services. Althof has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a master’s in public administration, public leadership and management, both from California State University, Northridge.
