Uplifting students, U100 is a guide leading you to discover yourself. The course aims to make students feel like a part of a community and introduces resources, and services available as a CSUN student. Students will further develop the language used to describe their personal strengths, interests, and teach them how to take responsibility for themselves.  


Geared toward cultivating student excellence, U396A Transfer Success Seminar excels at introducing university life, expectations, support resources, and services available as a CSUN student. Through this course, students will cultivate their academic and professional skills, uncovering opportunities based on their strengths. This course also fulfills the one unit students might have missing in order to graduate.

Engagement Opportunities

Associated Students (AS)

Associated Students (AS) is the primary advocate for CSUN students and provides excellent, meaningful programs and services designed to enhance and create a spirited learning-focused campus environment.

Community Engagement

The Office of Community Engagement enhances academic experiences through service learning, engaged research, and sustained partnerships within the San Fernando Valley, the greater Los Angeles Area, and beyond.

CSUN Mentoring Program

Peer mentoring program that promotes student success and aims to help students more easily navigate university life by exploring various campus resources and engagement/involvement opportunities.

International And Exchange Student Center

The International and Exchange Student Center (IESC) fosters the success of international students and actively promotes international study and domestic exchange opportunities for all students at CSUN. The IESC actively encourages students’ academic and co-curricular achievements, creative abilities, and professional competencies by creating gateways to an international curriculum and education. By innovatively encouraging participation in cross-cultural programs, IESC provides all students with the opportunity to thrive in an interdependent world while developing their international understanding and becoming cultural ambassadors.
