The fireworks started early in Sunday night’s Independence Day series finale, with the Potters putting up 10 runs in the first three innings of the game. Jason Brandow (CSU-Fullerton) blew the game wide open in the second inning, with a towering three-run homer that put the Potters up 7-0. The Knicks put together a few rallies in the middle innings, but were unable to recover and the Potters held on to win 10-4. Lincoln native and five-year Potter veteran Eli Garcia (CSU-Northridge) earned his third win of the season, going four innings and giving up just two earned runs with eight strikeouts.
