'It Just Stays With You': The Corrosive Health Effects Of Decades Of Anti-Asian Violence

In 2017, researchers at California State University, Northridge, were studying how levels of the stress hormone cortisol changed in Latino students when they were exposed to racism. The students were brought into a room. Then, through a cracked door in the hallway, they heard either a scripted prejudiced conversation about Latinos or a normal conversation that was not related to race.
