Music at Noon: Taro Wayama, guitarist & David Lee Ruest, violinist

Taro is an active soloist and a chamber musician. He frequently collaborates with other musicians, blending his masterful guitar playing with clarinet, flute and voice. He enjoys performing music from the Renaissance through the twentieth century, as well as folk and world music. David was born in South Korea and grew up in New York New York. He originally moved to California to perform as a violinist with the Santa Barbara Symphony. As an orchestral violinist he has also performed with the Harrisburg, Annapolis, Baltimore, New West, and Long Beach Symphonies. He has received a Masters in Music from the University of California Los Angeles 2009 and a Bachelors in Music from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University 2004 both in Violin Performance. He has also completed the California teaching credential requirements at California State University Northridge 2011.
