805 Brass is the third iteration of brass quintets started by Scott Weiss about 30 years ago. The musicians are Jim Labertew and Scott Weiss on trumpet, Randy Caplan and Richard Bunter on saxophone, and Stephen Hughes on Trombone. All of the musicians have studied music at the university level. Jim, Randy, and Richard all studied music at Cal State Northridge. 4 of the 5 members of 805 are members of the Ojai Pops Orchestra.
