I have always cared about helping others. In high school I even ran for student body Vice President at San Fernando High School. After graduating from Cal State Northridge, I got involved in my community right away. I was a Field Representative for then Assembly Member Cindy Montanez and later the East Valley Director for Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. In both places I worked with local police and community leaders to make our community safer and better. I also worked with our neighborhoods on beautification projects, helping local businesses cut through red tape, and holding government accountable to the people.
