"Artificial intelligence is one of the hottest, least understood and most debated technological breakthroughs in modern times. In many ways, the magic of AI is that it’s not something you can see or touch."

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

Artificial Intelligence is the ability for computers to learn and master seemingly-human tasks using enormous computing power and pattern recognition. Common applications of AI include image recognition, voice recognition, smart searches, and chatbots.

What is Artificial Intelligence Exploration at CSUN?

AIx is a university exploration into the applications of AI for teaching, learning and research. Over the next year we will learn about AI through brown-bag discussions, guest speakers and demonstrations, culminating in AI-JAM, a student competition.

How can you get involved with AIx?

If you would like to receive updates about AIx over the coming year, please email with the Subject: AIx Updates. Also feel free to visit the AIx blog at http://blogs.csun.edu/aix/, which lists applications of AI by College as well as emerging tools and opportunities to learn and apply AIx.
