Pentlarge followed the path of both her mother, Carol, who competed at USDHS (the forerunner to Cathedral) as well as Cal State Northridge, and her father, Jack, who swam at UC Santa Barbara. Also, her grandfather, Bob Eisele, is a longtime swim official.
