He’s a graduate of California State University-Northridge, the University of Mississippi and the University of Texas at Austin. He also attended the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico. He studied conducting under Francisco Savín of the National Ballet and Enrique Diemecke of the National Symphony. The maestro has taught at UT, the National Conservatory of Mexico, the University of London Symphony Orchestra and the University of Sonora.
