Deep in Belgian caves, researchers find Neanderthals feasted on horses, reindeer — and each other

The remains were studied by an international team led by Helene Rougier, an anthropologist at California State University Northridge, who came to the conclusion that the bones were cut and broken in the same way as the bones of the reindeer and horses found at the cave’s entrance.
