Pouyan Eslami

Joined CSUN in 2019. I currently serve as the Program Director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics and as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems in the SOM Department. I have taught and am currently teaching a variety of graduate and undergraduate MS BANA and IScourses. With over 20 years of tech industry experience in 4 countries, I’ve held roles from junior programmer to CEO. I also founded three successful tech firms, which continue to thrive and offer valuable insights into industry dynamics. My academic journey is also diverse. I hold a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, an MBA, and a PhD in Information Systems from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, Canada. I also have several certificates, including management of Enterprise Data Analytics from the University of Toronto. My research is not just theoretical. Mainly, I explore human interactions with disruptive technologies such as AI and data analytics, including natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), social media analytics, AI reasoning, AI governance, and CI/CD.
