Akash Gupta
Dr. Akash Gupta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems and Operations Management at California State University, Northridge. He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University, following a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, and a bachelor’s degree from Uttar Pradesh Technical University. His research focuses on data analytics, machine learning, logistics, and healthcare analytics. His work in healthcare analytics has received recognition and a financial award from the American College of Physicians, and his contributions to logistics earned an Honorable Mention for Best Applications Paper in IISE Transactions on Design and Manufacturing. Dr. Gupta is committed to improving public health by integrating engineering and medicine. His scholarly work includes models for clinical decision support systems, queuing theory, Bayesian networks, and machine learning applications.
