NOTICE ABOUT OUR REMAINING PLAY PERFORMANCES FOR SPRING 2020

All Spring 2020 productions of Pippin and Lysistrata are cancelled. The Tempest will have its final performance Wednesday March 11th at 7:30pm.

Our department is dedicated to conserving a safe and healthy environment for our students, staff, faculty and community members. It is in that spirit that we have made the tough decision to not proceed with the scheduled theatre programming.

We appreciate your patience as we work with the A.S. Ticket Office to issue refunds for all purchased tickets to the events that have been cancelled. Should you have any questions regarding the status of your refund, please contact the A.S. ticket office at 818-677-2488.

Please visit  https://www.csun.edu/COVID-19 for all CSUN updates regarding COVID-19.

BackStage Magazine
ranked the CSUN Theatre Department as one of the top nine university programs in the nation that were "the most effective and offer a unique approach to the college-professional connection," noting the department is "ideally situated for finding internships in the Industry."

The Department of Theatre is located in Nordhoff Hall on the southwest corner of the California State University, Northridge campus in suburban Los Angeles.

The Department has 8 full time faculty, 15 part-time faculty, and 10 professional staff who serve over 250 undergraduate and graduate theatre majors.

The Department houses three theater spaces - the Campus Theatre, Little Theatre, and Experimental Theatre, and mounts eight productions during academic year. In the summer, the Department holds the Teenage Drama Workshop, a theatre training program for rising 7th -12th grade students.
