The competition gives young musicians the opportunity to have their original music heard and evaluated by working jazz professionals.

Kairos will be awarded a $1500 prize and will perform a live set on 10/6/2017 at LACMA opening up for the Jeff Parker Quartet as part of the 2017 Angel City Jazz Festival. The LACMA performance will also be broadcast on KJAZZ two weeks after the concert.
