Lawrence Kaplan

Lawrence Kaplan is one of Southern California’s most well-known and versatile flutists. He has played extensively with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for over twenty years, including eleven international tours, and with such renowned conductors as Gustavo Dudamel, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Zubin Mehta, Simon Rattle and Pierre Boulez. He has also performed with the Minnesota Orchestra and with many local orchestras including the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Symphony and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Lawrence is also an active chamber musician and is a member of 2-time Grammy Award winning Southwest Chamber Music.
