The Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication and the Department of Music are pleased to announce the hiring of Clinton Rusich to fill the Commercial and Media Writing tenure track position in Music.
Prof. Rusich will work along side Prof. Elizabeth Sellers during the 2018-2019 academic year after which time he will take over coordinating the media writing area when Sellers retires.
Clinton recently taught at Chapman University, and Cypress and Fullerton Colleges in Film Composition and Audio Production. He is a certified Pro Tools operator and will be teaching film music history and beginning media music composition, working with the media lab band, The Studio Ensemble, and mentoring private media composition students.
Rusich has extensive experience in the industry as a composer, orchestrator, music editor and engineer, and has contributed music to projects produced by Sony, Warner Bros. and Universal Music.
He has recorded vocal backing tracks for the Jersey Boys National Tour and served as accompanist and conductor on numerous recording sessions.
He holds the MM degree in Composition and Conducting from CSU Long Beach and has professional certificates in Film Scoring from USC and Aspen.
