Journalism

The Journalism Department Office is located in Manzanita Hall (MZ) 210. Staff are available on campus from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, to answer students' questions, concerns and/or to provide other services. Stop by for a chat or take advantage of a quiet study space in MZ 208. Staff also manage remote communications: Students may call 818-677-3135 or reach out via email at jour99@csun.edu. Assistance will be provided as quickly as possible. Students should check their email for the weekly student-produced Monday Memo newsletter. Journalism's social media platforms also post important Department information and updates.

A dozen Daily Sundial student editors recently traveled to Washington, D.C. for MediaFest22, a prominent convention sponsored by the Society of Professional Journalists, Associated College Press and College Media Association. The event brought together professional journalists, student journalists and college media advisers from across the country to participate in workshops, breakout sessions, networking and award presentations.  Read more

Banned Books Readout Celebrates Diversity
