Monday, April 10, 2017 - 4:00pm

James Lawson

We are pleased to share an upcoming event co-sponsored by Civil Discourse & Social Change (CDSC) and the Departments of CTVA and Communication Studies. We are honored to have Gary Tyler on campus in conversation with Reverend James Lawson. Gary Tyler was unconstitutionally sentenced and incarcerated in Angola Prison for 41 years for a crime he did not commit. The youngest person to be sentenced to death row, Gary Tyler was released last spring and is now sharing his experience of incarceration, injustice at the hands of the criminal justice system, and the human will to survive.  Special screening of CAST THE FIRST STONE.
