The Commerce of Creativity is organized by the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication at California State University, Northridge to connect members of the campus, alumni and the community with compelling and provocative storytellers who have made significant contributions to the art of creative communication and the art of business.

The Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication together with the Cinema and Television Arts Department presents Jeph Loeb as the first speaker in this year’s Commerce of Creativity Distinguished Speakers Series. Marvel’s Head of TV, Loeb is an Emmy Award-nominated writer/producer. In television, his many credits include Smallville, Lost and Heroes; and in film, Teen Wolf and Commando. Loeb has been a writer on comic book icons including Spider-Man, Iron Man and Batman. He is currently an executive producer on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel’s Agent Carter for ABC, as well as Marvel’s Daredevil and Marvel’s Jessica Jones for Netflix.
