Upon completion of her MFA, Andy Erikson submitted one of her feature scripts, Happy Little Accidents, into several screenwriting competitions. The script was a 2nd rounder in the Austin Film Festival as well as the Finish Line competition, and was even a top 100 finalist in the Launch Pad feature competition. The excitement didn’t end there though, and last Wednesday, Andy was notified by Launch Pad that she had been chosen for a mentorship with famed screenwriter James V. Hart (Hook, Contact, August Rush). The Mentorship will take place over the next year and Andy looks forward to learning as much as she can about the industry and the craft of writing and storytelling from this brilliant and creative writer. Andy is incredibly honored and grateful for her professors and cohort at CSUN who helped make this script possible. Andy hopes to one day see Happy Little Accidents on the big screen and can’t wait to see where her writing adventures take her. You can follow Andy on Twitter and Instagram at @andyerikson. We’ll leave you with the logline for Happy Little Accidents: “After the sudden loss of their father, the wildly defunct Rox family attempts to rescue themselves from their depressive spiral by pulling off a Bob Ross art heist.”
