Lesley Krane grew up in Los Angeles, earned an A.A. degree at Santa Monica College (1987), got a B.A. in Art at UCLA (1991), then earned an M.F.A. in Studio Art with a minor in Photography History at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque in 1995. She began teaching in the Art Department at California State University Northridge in 1999. Committed to the practice of “slow photography” and the advantages of waiting, Lesley teaches her students to have a reverence and sensitivity for the medium. She has exhibited and presented her work in local, national, and international venues.
