Professor Eve Wood began teaching at CSUN in 2014. Before that she taught for many years at SMC. She holds at BFA and MFA (1992, 1994) from California Institute of the Arts and an MFA from UC Irvine (1996)in creative writing. Her area of focus is Modern Art and Modernism as she is an art critic for several magazines including Tema Celeste, Whitehot, Artillery, Art & Cake, and Riot Material. She is the recipient of a Jacob Javits Fellowship and a California Community Foundation Fellowship. A working visual artist, she is represented by Track 16 Gallery and was represented by Susanne Vielmetter and Western Project before that. She is the author of five books of poetry from University Presses and her latest book of poems, written in the fictive voice of Abraham Lincoln will be published this spring (22) by Del Sol Press.
She will have a solo show of her drawings and sculpture this fall (22) at Track 16 Gallery
