Curtis Ames is a visual artist living and working in Los Angeles, CA. He received his MFA from Georgia State University. Originally trained as a painter, Ames’ creative research has evolved out of an ongoing interest in concepts related to effort, achievement, and the ethics of irresolvability. These issues continue to propel his practice, regardless of medium, and constitute the thematic underpinnings of much of his work.

His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally at venues such as Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, OR; New Life Shop in Berlin, Germany; AQUA Art Fair in Miami, FL; the Atlanta Contemporary and the High Museum in Atlanta, GA.
