Karla Klarin: Subdividing the LAndscape

California State University, Northridge Art Galleries is proud to present the exhibition, Karla Klarin: Subdividing the LAndscape, which surveys for the first time Karla Klarin’s career-long fascination with the unheroic, overlooked, and quotidian landscapes of an imperfect yet beloved city.  Raised in the San Fernando Valley, and one of the first artists to live and work in Downtown L.A. in the 1970s, Klarin’s paintings and constructions offer important images of a city in transition that defy cliché and stereotype.
