Greek Graduation Celebration

It’s approaching that time of year again!!! The Fraternity & Sorority Life team is excited to announce the reinstatement of the Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Graduation Celebration Ceremony to honor our graduating seniors. The FSL Graduation Celebration Ceremony is a Celebration Ceremony in which we honor the members of the Fraternity & Sorority community that will be finishing their undergraduate/graduate studies. This is an additional opportunity for the community to come together and showcase our commitment to student success.
The event will take place on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM within our USU - GRAND SALON. There will be light refreshments, appetizers, music, and entertainment!!! We can’t wait to see you all there. Please complete this RSVP Google form if you are a graduating senior and have an interest in attending this event.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE AS A GRADUATE?
STEP 1: RSVP through our Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Graduation Celebration Ceremony Form
STEP 2: Submit your $15.00 Fee: You can bring a check or cash to AS Finance and bring a copy of the receipt to the Matador Involvement Center. Make sure you obtain a receipt. Final payment deadline is April 11th, 2022 by 5:00 PM (the time the MIC closes). IMPORTANT: THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE – (REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED)
The participation fee goes to cover:
(a) Food and Beverages
(b) Fraternity & Sorority Life Graduation Cords for Participant
(c) Tradition of the Rose
STEP 3: Once payment has been made and the receipt has been dropped off at the Matador Involvement Center (MIC), you’re all set. You can let your guest and supporters know about the event. The Fraternity & Sorority Life team will continue to send reminders and confirmations throughout the upcoming weeks. Most importantly, please let your friends, family, and supporters know about the event. Seating is limited and at a first come first serve basis.
HOW TO ATTEND AS A GUEST?
This event will not be ticketed but will have limited seating, so we strongly encourage folks to arrive early to secure a seat. As this event will be honoring our graduates, please make sure to bring your excitement, positive vibes, and support. We will have standing areas and high-top tables for guest.
CAN I PARTICIPATE IN COMMENCEMENT IF I ONLY HAVE A FEW UNITS LEFT TO COMPLETE MY DEGREE REQUIREMENTS or IF I FINISHED MY DEGREE IN SPRING 2021?
In order to be cleared to participate in the Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Graduation Celebration Ceremony, you must be a member of the CSUN Fraternity & Sorority Life Community and be registered in all of your final courses, and these courses must correspond to a term or semester that will be complete prior to the date of commencement. For example, if you wish to participate in the Spring 2022 Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Graduation Celebration Ceremony, you must be registered in Spring courses only - early summer registrations will not be considered for eligibility. A final verification will be conducted to secure your eligibility.
If you earned your degree during the Spring 2021 or Fall 2021 term and would like to participate, we welcome to you to RSVP for the ceremony.
