The Mission of the Marilyn Magaram Center (MMC) is to enhance and promote health and wellbeing through research, education and services in food science, nutrition and dietetics. 

 


CSUN Campus                       

Wellness Garden: Connecting college students with organic and nutritious foods.

Wellbeing Wednesday: Workshops about gardening and nutrition

AS Children Center/Lab School: Garden education for pre-school children.

Food Pantry: Donating herbs to the CSUN Food Pantry 

Food Recovery Network: Fighting food waste while feeding people


Community

School Gardens: Building and maintaining gardens in schools in the community. Providing hands-on gardening nutrition and gardening classes.

CalFresh Healthy Living: Providing nutrition and gardening classes to the Canoga Park community.

Food Distribution: Providing fresh produce to the local community

Farmer's Market: Providing nutrition education to our local community.


Volunteer Opportunity

Our mission is to enrich LA's School Gardens by teaching children and our community about the health benefits of sustainable gardening.
