FAQ's - Updated 6/10/20

I heard the internship requirement might be changing. Could you explain?

If you are graduating any time before Summer 2021 (this means you would be taking your very last class in Spring 2021), you may take another class in either Summer 2020, Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 to substitute for the internship requirement. The full list of acceptable substitutes is:

BUS 310: Foundations of Entrepreneurship

BUS 410: Business Development and Operation for Entrepreneurs

BUS 491CS: Small Business Consulting

MGT 450: Organization Change and Development

MGT 454: Leadership, Power and Politics

MGT 458: Decision-Making

MGT 460: Strategic Human Resources

MGT 462: Business and Society

MGT 464: International Business Management

MGT 468: Crisis Management

MGT 496G: Blockchain Management

MGT 498C: Internship Management (approved virtual

 internships only)

What if I already have an internship, or still want to do one?

We fully support you still doing an internship on your own. The point is that it will not count toward your degree unless it is a virtual internship. In that case, you will want to sign up for a section of MGT 498C. Make sure your internship is pre-approved by the Career Education and Professional Development office (CEPD), and that you have attended one of their workshops. If you have questions about virtual internships, or would like a permission number  please consult www.csun.edu/NazarianCEPD or email business.internships@csun.edu.

What is a DPR and how do I request one?
