Welcome to the University Writing Center!
At the Writing Center, we support all student writers through one-on-one consultations, workshops, and other resources. Whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student, we’re here to help at any stage of the writing process—from brainstorming ideas to polishing your final draft. Our consultants provide a supportive space to talk through your goals, review your work, and plan your next steps.
Key Highlights:
- We provide over 6,000 writing appointments annually to support students across all academic levels and disciplines
- We employ and train 30+ Peer Writing Consultants each semester
- Our Faculty Writing Consultants lead 20+ writing workshops each semester and support graduate students through specialized consultations
- We collaborate with campus partners to offer special workshops, writing retreats, and equity-centered writing support
Need proof of attendance for a tutoring session or workshop?
When scheduling your appointment in EAB:
- Write “Proof needed” in the appointment comments.
- Include your course name and your instructor’s name and email address.
- Remind your consultant during your session that you need proof of attendance.
Proof of attendance is sent directly to instructors at least once per week.
