October 2022: National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

19th Annual National Cybersecurity Month

Cybersecurity Awareness Month

CSUN is continuing its commitment to educate the community in all things cybersecurity. Since it's now October, it's time to kick off National Cybersecurity Awareness Month!

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) is a joint effort between the government and the industry to raise an emphasis on the importance of cybersecurity as well as bring awareness to the community. Their goal is to ensure all Americans have the resources they need to be safe and secure online. CSUN will participate in this month's Cyber Security Awareness by using their platform to spread resources and educate their audience through weekly posts.

This year, NCSAM will focus on skills everyone can learn and apply to stay safe online. Their goal is to remind the community of the many ways to keep your data safe and protected. By practicing the basics of cybersecurity at home, school, and in the workplace, you will ensure your data is in a better state. NCSAM 2022 overarching message - See Yourself In Cyber. - will focus on enabling multi-factor authentication, using strong passwords, updating software, and recognizing phishing.
