What is ChatGPT?
In the fast-paced world of technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly significant role in all areas of life, including higher education. AI technologies are changing the way we learn, teach, and engage with information. One of the most exciting new AI technologies available today is ChatGPT, a large language model developed by OpenAI.
ChatGPT is a conversational AI model that can generate human-like responses to text input. It has been trained in a vast array of text data and can respond to a wide range of questions and tasks. The result is a system that can converse and interact with people in a natural, human-like way.
While ChatGPT can be a valuable tool for higher education faculty, it is essential to keep in mind that ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence language model and is not a human being. Its responses are generated based on its training data and are not always correct or appropriate. In some cases, the responses may contain biases or misinformation. Also, keep in mind that the data ChatGPT pulls from is only current up to 2021.
