Lightboard

Looking for an innovative and exciting way to improve your lecture video content? Academic Technology and the Faculty Technology Center are excited to announce that we have a lightboard for faculty to use.

A lightboard is like a whiteboard but made of glass so your students can see your face and handwriting while you’re lecturing. In addition to the built-in lights around the edge, there is also light shining through the glass to make your notes and annotations pop against the dark background.

The lightboard will be available to use starting in January 2022. The Faculty Technology Studio is located in the garden level of the University Library, room 35.

All you need to do is bring your lecture notes and one of our technologists will help you with the recording and deliver a digital video file that you can upload to YouTubeCanvas Studio, or Panopto and then embed in your Canvas course.

Visit our Microsoft Bookings page to check available times and dates and schedule time in the studio.
