For PC users, Camtasia Studio is available. For Mac users, Camtasia for Mac is available. 

Is there a difference between Camtasia Studio and Camtasia for Mac?

Do I need special equipment?

In addition to your computer, you will also need a high-end headset/microphone in order to record and listen to audio. 

How do I add captioning with Camtasia?

Camtasia can transcribe the audio of a video for captioning, which can be edited for accuracy.
