Location:Jerry Rabow, author of The Lost Matriarch: Finding Leah in the Bible and Midrash, will draw on the techniques and disputes of 2,000 years of rabbinic commentary to describe the imaginative interpretations of the biblical story of Leah. His talk promises to be a provocative and entertaining experience in learning how to read Torah as literature.
Jerry Rabow has served for over 40 years in various lay leadership positions at Valley Beth Shalom Synagogue, Encino. He earned a B.A. from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Since he retired as a lawyer 20 years ago, he has focused on research, teaching, and writing. He is the author of three books.
