Department Welcomes Professor Nicole Morris Johnson

This year, the Department of English welcomes a new Assistant Professor to its faculty: Dr. Nicole Morris Johnson. She has made her way to California State University, Northridge from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her work focuses on 20th and 21st century African American and Caribbean women’s literature and performance. This semester, Professor Morris Johnson is teaching ENGL 311 History of African American Writing and ENGL 492 Honors Senior Seminar- Women of the Gullah Renaissance.
