All students must declare a major by the time they complete 60 units. Students who have not declared a major by this time will have a registration hold placed on their records until they declare a major. Contact the College of Humanities Student Services/EOP Office for assistance in selecting a major at 818-677-4767.
Students may, in conjunction with a major or double major, elect to complete the requirements for one or two minors which have been approved and are listed in the catalog. To declare a minor, please follow the instructions listed on the following page: https://www.csun.edu/current-students/change-major-minor.

Per CSUN’s Change of Major and Minor Policy, students seeking to change majors/minors must be able to complete the new major/minor within 140 units. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the College of Humanities Student Services/EOP Office at 818-677-4767.
The last day to change your schedule without a formal request is the last day of self-service registration for the transaction you want to make (end of week 4). You can find specific enrollment dates regarding late add/drop requests, including the week 4 deadline date for each current semester, on the following site: https://www.csun.edu/current-students/register/late-register.
Email your faculty member letting them know you will be absent and, if applicable, ask them for guidance regarding missed classwork.
The Disability Resources and Educational Services Office ensures access and support for students who require accommodations. Please contact DRS at 818-677-2684 or email dres@csun.edu to speak with a DRES counselor who will determine eligibility for services and authorize accommodations or support services.
Department chairs and program directors can be accessed from the drop-down menu on the College of Humanities website's home page. If you have any problems finding information, you are also welcome to contact the College of Humanities Dean’s Office at 818-677-3301.
We advise students to work with their faculty member first to resolve issues related to fellow student problems in the class. If the problem is with a student outside of the classroom, please contact the associate dean of your major for guidance. All COH majors can reach the associate dean by calling 818-677-3301.
