Change in venue for AAS Graduation Reception to Grand Salon, 11 am to 1 pm

May 19, 2018

Dear Students and Faculty,

Due to the unexpected larger number of people attending our AAS Graduation Reception this year, we are moving to a bigger venue.
Instead of it being at the Orange Bistro, we will move it to the USU Grand Salon. This will allow us to be in the same room instead of squeezed into two different rooms and a patio.  This bigger space will allow everyone to have a sit down lunch.

Please make a note of this to all of your family and friends planning to attend our AAS graduation reception. Graduates, you will be given 1 minute to make a speech to your family and friends. This means after the commencement ceremony, we will mosey over to the Grand Salon for mingling and photos. The lunch buffet should be ready for us. We will begin the program around 11:30 am. I will do a small speech and then we call each of the graduate up to present you with the medal of graduation. Each can have 1 minute to give a speech (usually thanking their loved ones). At the end, we will do a few group pictures and you can stay to hang out and finish your lunch. The reason we have to begin early is that some of us will need to attend another ceremony at another part of campus.

See you bright and early on Monday morning!

Prof. Gina
