Welcome to Human Resources -
Hello! On behalf of over 40 experienced and engaged members of the Office of Human Resources, welcome to the California State University, Northridge Human Resource’s web page.
As a group we are committed to our mission of providing excellent human resource programs and services to support the creation and maintenance of an outstanding teaching and learning environment where all people are valued. We fulfill this mission by creating partnerships with our campus colleagues to develop creative systems to attract, retain, develop and engage a diverse and talented group of staff, administrators and faculty.
As a University, we employ more than 4,000 faculty and staff, enroll over 40,000 students, and rank 10th in the nation in bachelor degrees awarded to underrepresented students. While you read these pages you will see that this is a great place to work because of our genuine commitment to people as we incorporate a “culture of caring” into all that we do and in how we do it.
In our written material and in the people you interact with, you will see that we emphasize: personal competence, professionalism, personal engagement, creativity, personal accountability and the value of diversity in the workforce. If you have trouble finding the information you are looking for within these pages, please contact us, or, when we all return to campus, stop by Valera Hall, Room 165.
We invite you to learn, engage, and connect with your colleagues by taking advantage of the many training and development opportunities available through the Professional & Personal Development Program.

EAP Resources Addressing Wellbeing Concerns Related to Ukraine-Russia War
LifeMatters hosts a special resource section created to help anyone concerned by world events understand what is happening, follow developments as they occur, and address the emotional wellbeing concerns that can arise when armed conflicts take place. As the United States is still healing from recent activity in Afghanistan and Iraq, we recognize that images of military actions, including the discharging of weapons and war-related injuries can be highly upsetting--especially for those recovering from their own battlefield experiences. The section includes links to resources that assist with addressing post-traumatic stress disorder and the challenges that re-traumatization can create for those who were able to find a comfortable or manageable place with their past experiences.
Remember, if you feel that you are struggling--at any time--with what you are hearing, seeing, or reading, help is available. Reach out to a loved one or friend for support and connect with your assistance provider to discuss your options and locate a professional who can provide the guidance and reinforcement needed to help you address your concerns.
