This Planning for Retirement session is a comprehensive benefits education class that provides a deeper understanding of your benefits as you begin to prepare for retirement.
Learn how your pension is calculated, ways to increase it, and the payment options available upon retirement to provide for a beneficiary. Learn how to run estimates through your myCalPERS account. In this class, you’ll also learn about the CalPERS Special Power of Attorney, employer contracted CalPERS health benefits, and much more.

Train the Trainer is intended for subject matter experts or employees who find themselves in a position of creating or delivery training. In session one, participants are introduced to the basics of adult learning theory and standard format of a training session. Session two is all about creating learning objectives and content. Session three is dedicated to incorporating engagement and activities focused on knowledge retention and application. Session four provides a forum for participants to practice what they've learned. Participants must attend all four sessions.
This program is intended for beginning level trainers and presenters, but intermediate level trainers and presenters are also welcome! The Train the Trainer workbook will be emailed to participants in advance. No pre-activities required. Please register by March 28, 2024.

We hear the terms diversity, inclusion, and equity used all the time. Sometimes these terms are used interchangeably. The purpose of this training is to provide shared language on what these terms mean and how you can put them into action as a member of the Titan Family to better our community. This class will also introduce the concept of privilege groups and how it might impact individual experiences on campus. The SMART Goals approach utilizes behavior-based science and principles of human motivation to provide clarity, focus, and motivation to increase the probability of achieving a goal.
This “hands-on” workshop will allow participants to create meaningful and effective SMART goals in real time as we take a process-oriented, step-by-step approach to exploring the functionality of SMART goals and what makes them so effective.
Participants will utilize behavior mapping techniques and a SMART Goal Development Guide to prioritize, develop, and implement SMART goals in both personal and professional settings. Participants will be able to apply knowledge and skills developed in this workshop to personal goals, department, team and project goals, as well as to employee Individual Development Plans and performance evaluations.

Description:
Train the Trainer is intended for subject matter experts or employees who find themselves in a position of creating or delivery training. In session one, participants are introduced to the basics of adult learning theory and standard format of a training session. Session two is all about creating learning objectives and content. Session three is dedicated to incorporating engagement and activities focused on knowledge retention and application. Session four provides a forum for participants to practice what they've learned. Participants must attend all four sessions.
This program is intended for beginning level trainers and presenters, but intermediate level trainers and presenters are also welcome! The Train the Trainer workbook will be emailed to participants in advance. No pre-activities required. Please register by March 28, 2024.
