Human Resources has partnered with Kaiser Permanente and 10K-A-Day to bring you a fun and easy step challenge to start the New Year off on the right foot! Register NOW!.  The Challenge begins Feb. 5. All faculty and staff are invited to register — on your own or as a team of four to five.

SRC Free Membership for a Week | Continues Through January 14

Faculty & Staff - Come experience the fun of fitness for yourself!  For a full week (January 8 - 14), everyone who is eligible for an SRC membership can take advantage of FREE Group Exercise classes, fitness evaluations, three fitness zones and more! Click her for more information

SRC Lunch Time Express is Back!| Begins January 22

Spring 2018 Lunch Time Express Is Available Every Monday and Wednesday, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

The SRC offers several “Lunch Time Express” group exercise classes to all faculty and staff. These classes are free and do not require an SRC membership to participate. Come join SRC members on your lunch break every Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM this Spring semester (1/22/2018-5/16/2018) to pursue your wellness goals. This program is offered as part of the CSUN HR Professional Development program. CSUN Matador Masters - Toastmasters Meeting | January 24

Interested in gaining more confidence and developing your leadership and communication skills in a no-pressure atmosphere? We’ve established a CSUN Toastmasters chapter open to all staff and faculty. Toastmasters’ mission is to provide its members with a positive and supportive learning environment where participants can practice delivering speeches and fulfilling leadership roles, which can in turn foster self-confidence and personal and professional growth. Your participation in a Toastmasters club can help you to conduct effective meetings, guide successful team collaborations, and enhance your listening and speaking abilities.

Commit To Be Fit - Free After Work Exercise Program | Orientation February 1

Commit to Be Fit (CTBF) is a free fitness program for CSUN staff/faculty/students and community members. The program is led by CSUN Kinesiology students under the supervision of CSUN Kinesiology faculty.

The workouts consist of cutting edge and scientifically sound functional cardiovascular and resistance training aimed to get you in shape and help you FEEL YOUR BEST! CTBF is designed for all fitness levels and will expand your limits of strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health. Learn how to do activities in new ways—move more quickly, think faster, do what you never thought possible! Improved fitness improves your quality of life and makes your world bigger.

The program is offered four times per week during the fall and spring semesters and twice a week in the summer. In the fall and spring semesters, both semi-private* and group exercise options are available.

As Flu Season Kicks Into High Gear - Get Prepared! Flu Shots Available at Klotz Student Health Center

This year’s Seasonal Influenza “Flu” Vaccine (2017-18) is available  for all students, faculty, and staff of California State University Northridge. This season’s vaccine provides protection against four strains of influenza viruses. The cost is only $15 for students and $20 for faculty and staff.

Flu shots will be given by appointment at the Klotz Student Health Center.  To schedule your appointment please call 818 677-3666.

Please bring your ID. Cash or check payment accepted.

*Individuals 65 and older may receive the standard flu vaccine. However, there is a “high-dose” alternative. Ask your healthcare provider for more information.  The “high-dose” vaccine is not available at the Klotz Student Health Center.
