CSU CCC Class | Selling Yourself, Selling Your Ideas

Tuesday, October 25, 2022 - 11:00am to 12:00pm

Online, Zoom connection information provided upon registration

This session is offered by CSUN as part of a CSU System-Wide Professional & Personal Development Cross Campus Collaboration program.

Colleagues attending this session may hail from the Chancellor’s Office, Channel Islands, Chico, East Bay, Fresno, Humboldt, Long Beach, Monterey Bay, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, and Stanislaus.

Every day we sell ourselves and our ideas. As a staff member pitching a procedure or preparing your self-evaluation, or as a faculty member working on a grant application, research competition, or compiling your PIF, it is important to recognize the significance of your work, your ideas, and yourself, and how to sell or convey this in an efficient and successful way.

By attending this session, you will:

    • Be able to evaluate the needs of your audience;
    • Choose an appropriate approach; and
    • Concisely and clearly communicate your goal(s).

Facilitated by:

John M. Kephart III, Ph.D., Associate Professor, California State University – Northridge
