The fees below reflect charges for students who move in between August 24th and August 31st, 2019 and stay until May 16, 2020. Charges are pro-rated for students moving in after August 31st, 2019. This is an installment payment plan, not monthly rent. Students who vacate due to an approved release of license agreement will be charged on a pro-rated basis.

Initial Payment: A non-refundable processing fee of $50 is due with your license agreement. The initial payment may be made on-line during the application process.  Contact the Student Housing office to make special arrangements to pay by money order. The $50 processing fee is non-refundable even if the license agreement is approved for cancellation.

Payments received after the 10th of each month will accrue a late fee of $15 on the 11th day. Residence Hall Association Fee: This optional one-time annual fee of $15 is charged to all CSUN Student Housing residents and it is established to partially fund the Residence Halls Association (RHA). RHA is essentially your student governing board in housing that promotes student advocacy and plans engaging events for residents to enjoy. If you have further questions about this fee, please contact Residence Halls Association (RHA) at rha@csun.edu or 818-677-6532.

Meal Plan Fee: If you select, or are placed in, The Suites or a no-kitchen unit in The Apartments, you are required to purchase a meal plan.  Meal plan payments are separate from Student Housing payments. Deposits for meal plans are accepted on-line during the application process. Please see meal plan payment details on the University Corporation website at www.csun.edu/tuc/residential-dining

Payment and Financial Aid Verification: The first payment and verification of intent to live in Student Housing is due by July 19, 2019. If you receive financial aid of $4800 or more you are required to log into your Student Housing Portal by July 19, 2019 and follow the on-line steps for verifying your Financial Aid award and confirming that you will be living on campus. Not making your first payment or not verifying on-line that you have sufficient financial aid will result in your contract being cancelled and your bed space being given to another student.

Financial Aid Disbursement: If any financial aid is awarded and there are funds remaining after tuition fees are paid, these funds are applied toward other University debts on the resident’s account such as housing installment payments. Licensee agrees to review account balance information regularly through Licensee’s myNorthridge Student Account and make payment on or before published due dates shown above.

Financial Aid Changes: Changes to financial aid may have an impact on licensee’s balance due. Changes in financial aid, whether imposed or voluntary, will not nullify any obligations of this license agreement. Full and prompt compliance with all Financial Aid Office requests for information is strongly advised to ensure a timely financial aid award and disbursement. The deadline to submit all requested documentation to the Financial Aid Office is on or before April 29, 2019 no later than 4:00 p.m.
